Ogg Vorbis Ripping
Ogg Vorbis is like MP3, but developed freely under the GPL. I have no clue if it sounds better than MP3, but it does encode more quickly and takes up slightly less space.
First, download Xiph's ogg vorbis command line encoder here. Install it to some directory (the EAC directory will do.)Now, in EAC, press F11 to get to the Compression Options dialog, and click the External Compression tab. In the Parameter Passing Scheme menu, select Ogg Vorbis Encoder. Click Browse to browse for the ogg encoder executable that you downloaded. Finally, select a Quality level in the menu. Quality 6 is roughly equivalent to lame --aps, while Quality 7 or 8 is more like --ape.
Be sure to uncheck id3 tags in the id3 tag tab of the same dialog. id3 tags are only meant for mp3's and will screw up ogg files. EAC will still write your ogg tags.
